The two staff members at Ekwendeni Hospital who dispense reading glasses have recently received bicycles so that they can take their service out into the surrounding country. The bicycles were kindly donated by The Raven Trust.
Focus on Malawi is a group of UK-based volunteers, medical and lay, working as part of The Raven Trust, a charitable company limited by guarantee No SC362281, Scottish charity No SC30260.
Our objective is:
• to support the directors of Ekwendeni, Livingstonia and Embangweni Mission Hospitals in the development of permanent and self-sustaining eye-care services
• to raise awareness at home amongst friends, professional colleagues and the general public what the needs are and how they can help
• to channel resources and expertise, and to support local training.
